Mijas Costa

Along Mijas Costa are several popular residential areas and many new well-equipped residential buildings are also being built here with access to swimming pools, fitness and other luxurious amenities. La Cala de Mijas, El Chaparal, Marina Playa, Calahonda, Vitta Marina and Vitta Nature are some of the residential areas we can find in Mijas Costa. The areas have in common their close access to several fantastic golf courses, at the moment eleven, and some of the areas also have their own Sports Club. The various residential areas are well equipped with restaurants, shops and other services. The bus between Fuengirola and Marbella stops in several places along the A-7, which means that you do not always have to depend on having a car.

Mijas Costa is a part of Mijas

Mijas has a total of 12 km of coastline with several cozy beaches and restaurants. La Cala de Mijas has been given the EU blue flag for good bathing water. Mijas has about 80,000 inhabitants and is thus the province of Málaga´s third largest municipality.

Calahonda has a port, Cabopino Puerto, which is a real gem on the Sunshine Coast. It features restaurants and bars and one of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast.

Mijas also has shopping centers such as Corte Inglés and Miramar.

Mijas Pueblo

A bit inland is Mijas Pueblo which is a classic destination for anyone visiting the Costa del Sol, a traditional whitewashed Andalusian village with a view that takes your breath away. There are also several cosy restaurants and shops.

Communications

In Mijas you have good bus connections and from Fuengirola you can take the train on to Málaga. Málaga Airport is about a 30-minute drive away.
